This essay deconstructs the societal weaponization of divorce rates as a "straw-man" distraction from the actual epidemic destroying families: systemic, non-physical domestic abuse and coercive control. It exposes how institutional enabling, lack of legal accountability for non-physical violence, and the interchangeable nature of victims trap individuals and children in environments where control is absolute and safety is inaccessible.
